Vision, Mission, Values

Our Vision

Westside Christian College desires to be a school where faith in God (Father, Son and Holy Spirit) and learning go together.

Our Mission

The Mission of Westside Christian College is, with humble reliance upon the grace of God, to prepare and equip our young people for an abundant life of learning, faith and service, for the common good and the glory of God.

Our Motto

In Thy Light

‘For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light we shall see light.’ Psalm 36:9

As a Christian school, Westside believes that the best way to live all of life is in the light of the love of God expressed through the life and person of Jesus Christ.

Our Values

Christlikeness

We believe that God’s will is that His people are Christlike in their character.

Learning

We believe that God made us so we receive His blessing and our own personal fulfilment when we learn about Him, His world and ourselves.

Achievement

We honour God by achieving worthwhile goals for His glory.

Social Responsibility

We are responsible before God to be an influence for good in our society.

Service

We are made to reflect God’s love for people and His world.

Westside—a wonderful education, school friends, and families—the best! So yes, bring your children to this school. It is so worth it!
Kathy Accutt, Parent
One staff member had a huge impact on me and shaped the person I am today. Now a teacher here, I still marvel at the care and time teachers invest in students.
Steven Johnson, Teacher & former student
I valued having positive relationships and honest conversations with my teachers. I was able to take their advice, and that enabled me to work better.
