Westside provides many opportunities for our Primary and Secondary students to learn from a choice of instruments and voice. We also encourage our students to play in a range of ensembles. If you can play an instrument, we will work to provide opportunities for you to develop your craft and enjoy performing in front of an audience.

Secondary Campus Ensembles:
- Symphonic Band (Year 7-12 students—all Orchestral & Band instruments)
- Funk, Jazz, Rock Band (FJR—auditions required for Voice, Guitar, Bass, Brass, Woodwind, Drumkit)
- Secondary String Ensemble (Grade 7-12 students—Violin, Viola, Cello)

Our Instrumental Music Instructors are skilled musicians and performers. To audition and participate in ensembles, students are expected to be having lessons on their chosen instrument (unless they are of a Grade 5 A.M.E.B. standard or higher). These can be either through the College Instrumental Lesson program or privately.
