Our Primary campus is a happy place. Our Prep learning areas are bright and spacious. Across our campus, children’s smiles and positive attitudes always inspire a sense of belonging. Dynamic, flexible learning opportunities foster critical thinking, confidence, positive relationships, and Christian understanding.
Students love being part of our many creative learning experiences. Classroom learning, excursions, incursions, and performances give children rich insights into Maths, English, Creative Arts, Science, History and Geography and the world we live in. Christian Studies is also a vital component of our curriculum.
If required, our SWAN (Students with Special Needs) staff work with classroom teachers to help each child reach their potential. SEE (Special Education Element) is also available for students who are challenged by the demands of a mainstream classroom.
A child’s sense of belonging grows through building relationships and working together, inside and outside the classroom. Students are welcome to join our much-loved Primary Choirs, or learn an instrument, or perform with our Primary Band or Ensembles. They enjoy performing at College Open Nights, Multicultural Day, Celebration Night, or Christmas concerts.
Through sporting activities, training and playing together fosters camaraderie, physical skills, determination, empathy, and self-esteem. Some of our older students also compete in Central District Christian Schools competitions or at Regional or State levels.
To help our students thrive at school and in life, we provide many opportunities for them to build strong friendships. Our college family also enjoys community-minded fundraising opportunities. For example, Spurple Day is a fun day for students to dress up and raise funds for a worthy cause, such as Cancer Council Queensland.
Our wonderful Teaching Coordinators lead the implementation of our Pedagogical and Curriculum Framework that aligns with our whole College approach to teaching and learning. The role includes monitoring student learning; P-6 teaching and learning, reviewing the quality of planning, resources, assessment and reporting practices; utilising data to inform changes in planning/teaching practices to improve overall student learning outcomes; leading Primary Curriculum teams to incorporate evidence-based practices and innovative learning methods, and more.
I so enjoy coming to school each day. There’s such a sense of belonging here. I love finding the gold in each student, and drawing that out.Taryn Behr, Teacher

One staff member had a huge impact on me and shaped the person I am today. Now a teacher here, I still marvel at the care and time teachers invest in students.Steven Johnson, Teacher & former student
I really valued having positive relationships and honest conversations with my teachers. I was able to take their advice without offence, and that enabled me to work better.Sienna Wilton, 2016 Graduate
